The Challenge

These municipalities or regions aspire to be leaders in sport tourism and in hosting sporting events of all types and sizes. Sport tourism is the fastest growing sector of global tourism. It generates significant and positive spinoffs in terms of sport, economics and social benefits. Sport tourism also contributes to the city’s visibility and the upgrading or optimization of sport facilities.

Our Contribution

LBB developed sport tourism action plans for these cities or region. Our approach is based on community consultation, analysis of organizational capacity and sport facilities and event opportunities in the national and international sport market. LBB also supports them in their feasibility analysis, bidding and event organization.

The Results

The sport tourism action plans developed by LBB have all been adopted and implemented. These cities or region host more structuring sporting events. Cities and regions benefit from increased visibility and awareness and positive sporting, social and economical legacies.
