The City of Saint-J\u00e9r\u00f4me, regional capital of the Laurentians region, wanted to have a planning tool to guide its investments and decisions in the construction and upgrading of indoor and outdoor sports and active living facilities and sites for its brand-new Quartier des Sports, located and linked to the Lac J\u00e9r\u00f4me nature park.<\/p>\n
With its team of urban planners and sport facility experts, LBB developed, based on a public consultation and an analysis of the environment, the vision, the strategic directions of the Master Plan for the construction and optimization of sports and active living facilities and sites, including a 2-ice regional arena, an indoor soccer and gymnastics complex, an aquatic complex, multiple outdoor sports sites including a skate park and a network of trails for summer and winter activities.<\/p>\n
The Master Plan has been approved by the City Council as drafted and several feasibility studies for the proposed sports facilities are underway.<\/p>\n
